nice to meet you!

Finally! Our new, improved, re-designed and super-sized Ex Ovo jewelry website has launched, and for the first time, all of my current collections are now available online.  It was a labor of love, but now you can really SHOP! 

Preparing for this day has made me think about all the ways we have to start anew, every day.  Some of us plant new gardens, and hope our flowers will bloom.  Some of us have children, and hope we can raise them to be decent and good human beings.  Some of us move to a different country and have to learn a new language and customs, some age and have to deal with slowing down, and some of us have to start anew after a separation, or a death, and we wonder how we can go on and make sense of our lives.

Well, you are not alone- I am all of the above.  Life has thrown me so many curve balls that I'm convinced I'm at bat in some giant cosmic ball game!  I now have some experience in this, and the only thing that has always worked for me is this: get up, and go on.  One step at a time.

Being a single mom in NYC has its own unique set of challenges, and I have to rise to all of them, every day.  Of all the roles that I have to fulfill, this is the most important, the most daunting, and the most rewarding.  Am I perfect?  Far from it.  But I’m trying.

So I think all we can do is get up, every day, and make sure that we make our day count.  Be the great mom.  Kick butt at work.  Smile at a stranger.  Change the world, however you can.  Or don’t, but be kind to yourself and others.  And all together, we are going to make this place wonderful yet.
